Peak Ski Season East Trip Cost: $435 3 Day in the snow Payment Plan Registration Signup Due 8/31, Sign Up & $100 Deposit Due 10/31 It’s not always convenient to make it out west to experience their amazing mountains and snow conditions. Are you feeling anxious with all of these big west trips popping up? Not sure if you can afford a trip of that caliber or be able to take the time off of work? How about a 3 day weekend in Vermont to experience The Beast that makes molehills out of other mountains?! That’s right; Chesapeake Ski and Board Club will be making another annual trip to Killington Resort. Last year we changed our lodging and came across a sweet spot that can accommodate 12-25 people! This year we are hoping to make this our Premier East Trip and be able to rent both sides of the house. It will be a party you won’t want to miss for sure! Chesapeake Ski and Board Club once again takes on Springfield Cabin & The Beast of the East!

Note – the trip cost is subject to change and will be finalized once we get signups. But, we tend to be pretty good with it so changes will be minimal. Contact Trip Captain Kimie King (kimierk@gmail.com) for more information or to sign up!

Getting There

The group will meet at a central destination on Thursday February 9th, 2012. There will be two different departures (if necessary) available 1PM and 6PM. We will be renting 12/15 passenger vans and 7/8 passenger SUV’s. If you have a vehicle that you think would be able to accommodate us on the trip, please let us know. Transportation cost will be covered by the club. On Sunday, we will return home after half a day on the slopes.

Lodging

The only difference between this year and the previous is we’re going to make it even better. Last year we rented out half of this wonderful Cabin located just around the corner from the resort. It was a pretty fun filled weekend considering the other half of the cabin was occupied by college kids from CT. We all shared the Hot Tub and participated in a flurry of drinking games while the snow kept coming down all weekend long. This year we are hoping to have enough members on this trip to occupy BOTH sides of this house. This will be a party you will not want to miss! It gets even better, if you’re interested in attending this trip you will have a couple chances this fall to win Free Lodging so stay tuned! Nestled on a private road in rural surroundings, only minutes from all the action on Killington Road. The Cabin includes a Hot Tub w/ Outdoor speakers, Cable TV, Woodburning Stove, TV & DVD, Stereo System, Deck, Firewood, Gas Grill, and High Speed Internet. So whether you want to come home from a wonderful day on the slopes and enjoy a barbeque on the grill, relax in the hot tub, or work from the mountain side we’ve got you covered! We will have a washer/dryer, dish washer, and fully equipped kitchen. We’ll save the Dutch oven and plastic ware for snow camping.

Meals

As with most of our trips, we’ll cook a group breakfast and dinner as part of your trip cost where we’ll make plans for the day and share wild stories about our day on the mountain. You are welcome to skip any meals, but that’s on your dime. You will be on your own for lunch, since it’s anybody’s guess where you’ll be.
